Trading Along The Erie Canal
Friday’s Results: +$319
We have found the mother of America’s biking trails. It is the Erie Canal. It is long. It is flat. There are no cars and there is no wind. It is just about perfect! The only problem is that some of it is not paved. Dang! However, after spending a few hours in the busy road traffic and chugging up New York’s hills we decided to give the gravel a try. We loved it. It can get bumpy in places and we can’t hit our top speed but we like it better than the alternative. Besides if we were on the road then we wouldn’t get to see the beautiful bits of heaven like the picture above!
Trading has been good the last couple of days … Making the transition to eastern time zone has really put my trading to the test. I find I am getting into trades earlier than I am used to and fighting through a key reversals. I am used to waiting until I see some reliable directional movement, but now I find myself trying to pick off little trades here and there before it has established a bias. It has caused a lot more whipsaws in my account than my models are used to! The last two days, however, have been good — I have been able to anticipate the reversals a little better and save myself an hours worth of work making up lost ground.
All in all its been good to be back into a rhythm — on the bike and in the account!
