Net Gain: $1

You know it’s been a rough day when you look up after three hours of trading and you finally see a positive number in your P&L. That was the moment decided to closed out my positions and called it a day! $1 profit. Not the best trading day, but certainly better than some of the earlier losses I was trying to recover from.
It is all part of the life of a trader. Like any business, there are days you make money, days you lose money and days you draw. I was sitting with Zerin and he saw me take a couple of losing trades the other day and he said something that caught my attention. He said, “You’re not doing very well trading.” I asked him why he said that? He responded, “Because I keep seeing you lose.” I explained to him that I don’t look at each trade as a win or a loss in the same he doesn’t look at a missed shot on goal as a failure. On average he has to have about 5-6 shots in order to score. So the key to winning the soccer game is to keep shooting! The key to winning at the end of a trading day is to keep trading – even when your behind – and work through the probabilities!
