They say the great thing about knowing you’re wrong is that the moment you realize it, you’re right – especially when it comes to being financially fit!
Here is the moment I started to think, “This is wrong.”
We’re planning this amazing transcontinental cycling adventure across America – living solely on the profits I generate from my trading account. I wake up this morning totally jazzed for a day of riding and getting in shape. It’s May 24th and I have one more month to prepare. I have to average of 65 miles a day on the trip, so I think, “I’ll get 50 miles in today.” I get out on the road, I’m feeling good, I’m thinking “I can do this!” Then comes mile 32. I completely bonk. I could not physically ride another mile.
But, at the very moment I realized, “This is wrong,” I also discovered that I am right.
I’m 40 years old. I’ve sat at a computer desk my whole life. I am overweight and I have not stretched myself physically in years. While my body right now is screaming, “This is wrong. This is wrong!” My heart is whispering, “This is right. This is right.” My only problem right now is that my body is louder than my heart!
But my heart is right. In the same way that I work with 1000′s of traders around the world and encourage them to push themselves to becoming financially fit, I need to push myself to become physically fit. I need to accomplish something that will change my life in a positive way! I believe that when I bonk my ride on the road bike, it will help me be a better mentor to people who bonk their trades in their brokerage account.
