How To Eat Ham and Cheese for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Our bus was a luxury — or at least that is what we are realizing now! We had fancy meal plans that involved slow cookers, skillets and toaster ovens. When our bus broke down so did our dreams of good meals. What could we eat? Ham and cheese. And we’ve quickly learned about all the ways to enjoy ham and cheese for every single meal.
Biscuits and sausage? Add ham and cheese to it so it’s more filling.
Bread with ham and cheese is a staple food. It’s fast and easy to make for lots of people. We’ve eaten this meal in the car many times. And if you don’t use mayo or shredded cheese, it’s a guaranteed easy clean up (we know from experience).
Ritz crackers with ham and cheese; the perfect car ride snack. Good for distracting grumpy or bored kids from fighting, singing or generally being annoying.
Authentic and cheap hotel room dinner. Go to the nearest grocery store and pick up three simple ingredients: tortillas, ham and cheese. Return back to a hungry family of ten and start making quesadillas in the microwave. Done and done.
Then, we got so tired of ham and cheese we gave up and decided to eat out. We walked into an empty Arby’s and ordered 15 sandwiches and 3 kids meals. We were so relieved to be eating something good, like roast beef. The platters were barely placed on the table before we all grabbed them and crammed them in our mouths. It was then that we realized we accidentally ordered ham and cheese. Classic.
